Store My Car Director and three-time Legends Cars National Championship title winner Miles Rudman is set to embark on a new challenge in 2023 as joins forces with First 4 Vans to compete in the newly created Legends Cars Elite Cup.

Taking centre stage on the support bill of the British Touring Car Championship this year, the Elite Cup will comprise of three events and a total of 18 races, six per meeting.

Having lifted the overall title on three occasions – in 2019, 2021 and most recently 2022 – the Sutton Coldfield racer had been poised to step back from the series this year before an opportunity to race with series stalwart Nathan Anthony and his popular First 4 Vans squad presented itself.

Switching from the Legends Ford Coupe that he has become accustomed to in recent seasons, the 36-year-old will this year drive a Se-Van.

Brands Hatch plays host to the opening weekend of the Elite Cup on May 6/7 before continuing at Croft on July 29/30. Two weeks later, the series will conclude north of the border in Scotland at Knockhill on August 12/13.

All three Elite Cup race meetings will be screened live on ITV, with the addition of live streaming online via the www.itv.com/btcc website.

Miles Rudman: “I’m over the moon to have joined Nathan and the First 4 Vans team. If I’m honest this wasn’t in my plans as I’d taken the decision to not come back this year. I’d sold everything and then it was announced that the Elite Cup was going to take place on the BTCC package!

“Myself and Nathan had discussed the idea of me driving one of his vans a while ago but they were just discussions really. After a couple of messages back and forth not long ago we were able to get a deal together and here we are. There’s no denying that this is going to be a new challenge for me in the Se-Van but it is one that I’m relishing.

“Whilst my aim is to challenge for the title I also want to help Nathan get that elusive first win. He’s given me a fantastic opportunity to race on the touring car package and I’m very thankful him. I really hope we can deliver a great season.”

Nathan Anthony: “I’m absolutely delighted we’ve been able to put something together for Miles to run with us in the new Elite Cup. Everyone at First 4 Vans is buzzing, we can’t wait for the season to start. This is a huge year for Legends Cars, racing at three of the British Touring Car Championship events is massive and the exposure will be incredible.

“We’ve built Miles a brand new Se-Van and he’s also going to be helping us out with a bit of driver coaching, so I’m hoping I can learn a thing or two from the champion! It should be an incredible season, he’s a quality driver with a phenomenal record, so hopefully we can mount a big challenge.”
